THE COLLAB EXCURSION: A RECAP
Woahhh. It’s been a week since The Collab Excursion and I am only just finding the words for it now. Does holy shitballs of awesomeness cover it? No? Ok let me dive in further.
We started the day off with a business breakthrough session with my babe Christine Corcoran from Periscope Coaching, who ran us through the 7 keys to an aligned and limitless business. Always a beautiful reminder of how much you are or are not tapped in to the pulse of your business, who your ideal clients are, what makes them tick and what and WHY you do your thing. Let me tell you, my wheel was bumpy AF – someone better call the RACQ because we are not going anywhere using mine. *Some work to be done here!*
HOLD PLEASE! All that analysing our business is hungry work. The beautiful Jess from The Commune Space knows that I can get extremely hangry and turned out an epic spread with vegan chocolate brownies for me. Yes Jess, YES!
Then it was my turn to share with the group – where I ran everyone through what makes an ideal collaboration, and a process of bringing your action taking back to a simple ‘one thing’ approach of aligned action. To take the burn out and ‘busyness’ from your business and treat yourself as a human being, not a robot. Here’s me mid flow and thankfully due to Steph placing a black and white filter on you can just barely make out my ‘public speaking heat rash’ #thatshot – I showed it to the group to prove my humanness and stressed the importance of an event ready turtleneck if you are a nervous nelly like me. Yep, just human AF over here.
One thing I have realised about myself is that I literally cannot prepare anything before I speak. Not on a facebook live or in person. If I do, I go full meltdown mode. If I have a rough idea of what I want to say and allow myself to tap in to a state of flow – the words find themselves AND I am able to flow and adapt to what is needed at the time. Sitting here talking with all these glorious women, having raw, transparent and heart felt conversations…I felt like I had found my zone of genius. I sent a newsletter out to my tribe after the event and shared how much it finally landed that I LOVE sitting in circle with other women, connecting, sharing, learning and growing. Being ceremonial and intentional, and offering each other sacred space to be ok with whatever comes through – even if…no, especially if it is human and messy. Thank you to all the women for really GOING THERE. The energy truly opened up in this moment and once the heart connections were made, the breakthroughs just kept coming! Read all about Steph from The Soul Echo’s experience here who said she had a life altering moment right about here: (Steph also deliciously captured the essence of the day through these pics…isn’t she awesome?!) https://www.thesoulecho.com/blog/eventrecap-life-altering-moments
PAUSE – all these breakthroughs are also hungry work. See here me eyeing off Holly as she tucks in to my favourite salad waiting for the serving utensils so I can load my plate high and proud. Oh, and there was vegan cashew cheese. OH EM GEEEEE. *drools* Again, thank you Jess for knowing me so well.
While lunch took place, Christine interviewed us all for her podcast which you can listen to here. It was so fascinating hearing about everyone’s entrepreneurial journey, our fears and self doubts as well as our takeaways for the day. What landed for me across the day, as it KEEPS landing for me time and time again, is how SIMILAR we all are – despite any differences we may have, we all SHARE in this human journey and have so much in common when we allow ourselves to drop the masks and truly be seen.
It was then head shot time with Steph, and mini coaching sessions with Christine and myself. Seriously, how banging do all these babes look? The day would not have been what it was without these women and I am SO PROUD of how deep they went with themselves. Steph had them all draw a Bad Bitch card for themselves which of course, was perfect for each individual.
We began to wrap up the day which was held at The Productive GC – SUCH a cute venue. If you are looking for somewhere to co-work on the GC, this is it. It was peppered with timely reminders such as:
Jumping in our cars we headed down to the beach for a beach clean up for Clean Coast Collective. We found SO much rubbish in such a short amount of time – it was kind of astounding. I am definitely more conscious of this now, it’s one of those things you may easily overlook if you haven’t got your focus on it. We can all do better here, that’s for sure! Felt good to give back and we raised nearly $200 from ticket sales for this epic bunch too.
Thank you to absolutely every single soul for the day. Jess, for organising the event and feeding my soul and belly. Christine, your professionalism and drive never ceases to amaze me. You are one hell of a coach! Steph – thank you for capturing the essence of the day! You are MAGIC! To all the other ladies who joined us – you are fire, magic, queens, warriors and will continue to make such a mark on this world. So much love. xo
